Always good to get wins on the road! As an armchair expert, I think I am seeing a few things. I wonder if you agree after rewatching the tape.

I think we could be better at hitting the roll in PnR. It seems like we’re hesitant to feed or late to feed them. We got a few nice buckets from Chance to Onyenso in the BC game. Haven’t had an alley oop in a while, it seems.

I think the full court pressure, while it does reduce the shot clock, makes us tired for defending ball screens and contributes to a few undisciplined fouls. Especially when our rotation is reduced due to injuries.

I think Grunloh has had a temporary bad stretch defensively and offensively, since the Louisville game. Are teams doing anything different with him than previously?

I agree about hitting the roll. They’ve mistimed a few oops that caused turnovers recently. But they have hit TDR and Ugo some recently.

Full court pressure has been helpful – I think the depth being less playable recently has tested that though.

And, yes, I should probably spotlight that Grunloh is in a bit of a funk.

I appreciate and thoroughly enjoy the insight you provide with your analysis. It has to take a considerable amount of time to put together with the clips, but makes a great read for those of us not capable of doing either. Thank you and let’s keep enjoying what is shaping up as an excellent season.
