I noted recently in my basketball chat group that, while it appears as though our shooting is the issue in this mini slump, it really is our defense that has fallen off. Three weeks ago, when we were getting some F4 love, our KenPom O rating and D rating were both in the mid-teens. We are still 16th in O rating but our D rating has fallen to 30th. Teams are using isolation to abuse us, or more specifically, our big men, as you point out. I have also lamented-as you point out here-our lack of aggression in transition. Seems like we would get way more open 3 looks in transition than we are getting against set defenses. Happy to know that an observer as astute as you sees the same things I am seeing!
